THE COMPETITION
Now in its second year, UNLOCKED is proud to extend its commitment to the creative industry by offering graphic design students the opportunity to participate in this years exhibition and competition along side the Photographic Award.
Living in a safe and secure environment is important for our wellbeing. There is an increasing need for people and businesses to protect themselves and their possessions. The purpose of this competition is to highlight the importance of security and its many different forms.
The ABUS Group is involved in this competition as they want to further highlight the benefits of security in our ever changing environment. The company has been supplying major companies, businesses and consumers with security products for more than 80 years.
The image voted as the best by a panel of judges will be awarded $1500 cash.
Judges include Clemenger BBDO Creative Director Ben Couzens, and George Patterson
Y&R Art Director Chris Northam.
THE BRIEF
You as designers are asked to be inspired by, and interpret the theme of security, and to create a poster to communicate your idea. You can discuss whatever you wish as long as your subject matter stems from security in some way. Perhaps think about what security means to you, how does it affect you? How do you rely on it? And how does it affect us as a society?
You may create your image with whatever medium you wish, such as utilising photography, typography and image making techniques.
High Res images of several ABUS padlocks are available if desired.
