Unlock your dreams

When I initially received my padlock, I wanted to show a different side to this beautiful lock – to what we all perceive as something to do with safety, rules and regulations. To properly show this, I decided to do a shot of someone unlocking their dreams, and used a vast mysterious outback landscape to show this. The idea is that we have a figure immerses in her background – who has unlocked her dreams. I used a fine art approach and in order to make it as epic and dream like as possible shot purely with natural light to give the impression that she is daydreaming. The patterns and rocks on the ground were spread by cars and trucks in this vacant lot – creating a dream scape for the sleeping girl. The satisfying sound of the key turning the lock and the jolt as it comes open – is exactly what I imagined sent this girl to sleep.
